Biography and Interests
Caroline graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1993 with a Bachelor of Nursing and RGN. She then worked in a variety of nursing posts before completing a Diploma in Community Health Studies and District Nursing qualification from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1997. Since then Caroline has worked in primary care and specialized in HIV liaison for a year in Edinburgh then a further 3 in Glasgow. In 2002 she then returned to generic district nursing and has since worked out of hours at Gorbals health centre. She has just completed a nurse prescribing course at Glasgow Caledonian, and a Masters in Primary Care through the University of Glasgow. Her project explored district nurses attitudes to care packages in the last week of life.
Caroline joined the gender team at the unit in October 2007 as a PhD student to study men’s experiences of having breast cancer.
